AppGuardとは

AppGuard is a security product designed to prevent the execution of malicious commands—even if malware attempts to run attack code or an attacker tries to execute commands remotely.
Unlike traditional security solutions that rely on detecting and responding to threats, AppGuard takes a preventive approach by allowing only commands necessary for business operations to execute, thereby blocking attacks before they can occur.
Through this approach, known as "Hardening", AppGuard can contain even unknown malware and zero-day attacks that are difficult for traditional solutions to detect.
Developed with patented Made-in-Japan technology, AppGuard achieves both strong protection and low operational cost without depending on human resources or monitoring systems, making it the trusted choice for many organizations.

Why AppGuard

  • 1. Overwhelming Protection Beyond Detection
AppGuard’s unique mechanism — which allows only trusted commands essential for business operations to run — provides uncompromising protection without relying on detection. This innovative approach prevents even unknown threats and zero-day attacks before they can cause harm, eliminating the need for constant incident response. Since its release, there has never been a single reported breach, making AppGuard a trusted choice for critical infrastructure and large enterprises alike.
  • 2. Maintain Business Continuity While Ensuring a Comfortable Working Environment
AppGuard places no unnecessary load on PCs or servers, as it does not require virus scans or definition file updates.
In addition, operations are never interrupted by scan processes, allowing employees to continue working comfortably without stopping their tasks.
As a result, the overall system performance remains stable, leading to improved operational efficiency and productivity.
  • 3. Optimize Costs by Reducing Future Investments
With AppGuard’s threat-independent defense approach, there is no need for additional endpoint protection tools on servers or PCs. This reduces future security investments and ongoing maintenance costs. Even when a critical vulnerability is discovered, AppGuard provides a grace period before patches are applied, allowing organizations to control the timing of their investments strategically.
  • 4. Maintain Security Regardless of IT Literacy
AppGuard provides a secure work environment independent of employees’ security awareness, even against sophisticated phishing emails designed to deliver malware. AppGuard assumes the possibility of human error and blocks malicious actions through its built-in protection mechanism to maintain security at all times, since training and awareness have their limits.
  • 5. Strengthen Organizational Governance
AppGuard allows only authorized commands essential to business systems to execute, preventing risks caused by unintended or improper use by employees. This control helps restrict the use of unnecessary software, visualize endpoint activity, and maintain a well-governed, compliant IT environment across the organization.

Frequently Asked QuestionsFAQ

and more

Q.

How should AppGuard be used in combination with antivirus or EDR solutions?

A.

Antivirus and EDR solutions play an important role as detection and response layers in cybersecurity. AppGuard does not replace them — instead, it adds a new layer of “Hardening”, completing a truly multi-layered defense. To illustrate: if AV and EDR act as security guards who detect and respond to intruders, AppGuard serves as the architectural rule of the building itself, ensuring that even if an intruder gets inside, they cannot carry out any malicious actions. By combining AppGuard with detection-based solutions, you can build a last line of defense that addresses blind spots in conventional detection technologies and creates a far more resilient security posture.

Q.

How long does it take to implement AppGuard?

A.

For approximately 100 PCs, the implementation period is around one month.
For about 10 servers, it typically takes around three months.
However, the actual schedule may vary depending on several factors such as the number of PCs and servers, your network environment, and the number of installation sites.
We will propose a detailed implementation schedule after discussing your specific requirements.

Q.

Can AppGuard be used together with other security products?

A.

Yes, it can. AppGuard is designed to complement existing antivirus solutions as well as post-incident response products such as EDR and XDR, and can be used alongside them without conflict.
