Following its merger with the Chiba City Social Welfare Corporation in April 2020, the Chiba City Council of Social Welfare began reviewing additional security measures to address the rapid rise of new and unknown threats such as Emotet—on top of the existing protection it had implemented at each branch against known threats.
The Council chose AppGuard because it prevents malware from causing harm even if it infiltrates the system, and because it can be operated effectively without depending on staff IT literacy. Since its implementation, AppGuard has not only strengthened PC security by blocking suspicious software from running but has also provided great peace of mind with minimal operational burden, even as staff members handle a wide range of other duties.
