The Japan Tennis Association (JTA) serves as the national governing body for tennis in Japan, promoting the sport through its three core pillars: promotion, development, and enhancement. At the heart of its activities lies the concept of the “Three Cs”: Court – improving and expanding playing environments; Coach – discovering and training skilled instructors; Competition – organizing tournaments and fostering a culture of healthy competition.
Through these initiatives, the JTA aims to increase interest in tennis, expand player participation, and nurture athletes capable of competing on the global stage. By continuously strengthening this cycle, the association strives to enhance Japan’s tennis ecosystem and broaden the reach of the sport.
In addition to supporting world-class players such as Kei Nishikori and Naomi Osaka, the JTA has been actively focusing on initiatives related to the Tokyo 2020 and Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
